Having to start and financial implications if he does not are different things. She bas always quoted the formerJust to play Devils Advocate, as he isnt here to defend himself there may still well be agreements in place where we benefit from him playing and games like today we have to contribute to wages.
Today doesnt actually prove there isnt.
What it does however show is that even if those agreements are there, it means nothing, we arent forced to do anything and can use him how we see fit. Id also say that by the celebrations with him when he scored morale isnt being affected by him either, the team were very pleased to see him score.

I will send my match report / ratings later , but for now I will just say Deegan , Deegan , Deegan.
That is all.
Id also say that by the celebrations with him [Shaq] when he scored morale isnt being affected by him either, the team were very pleased to see him score.
Haha James, you post two paragraphs of grips then say we were superb ?!
I do get the points you made though.
You not in Orlando at moment?
I certainly picked that up. Far from a team whose spirit was negatively affected, everyone seemed to have nothing but delight for Shaq today. Almost to a man, they stepped up to show their support. Question asked. Question answered as far as I'm concerned.
And what a well taken goal. Hopefully, he can push on from here. If he'd showed that sort of finishing before, we wouldn't have gone into this game under so much pressure.
Other notable mention for Atkinson who made a great impact when he came on.
Very good result with forwards scoring who 'can't score', and no Bolger or Mads in defence. Hmmm,.......not sure what that tells me.
Deegan MOM? Eh?
I like him and he always wants the ball, but some of his distribution is extremely poor. There were 3 or 4 really wayward passes and poor selection today
Probably an 8/10.
My MOM was Thompson with Prosser close behind. They never missed a thing. White was pretty good too.
I thought Williams grew into the game superbly. He was difficult to get past being built so solid. I like his forward runs a lot. After all that effort, he was still trying to bomb forward even at the end, so superb stamina as well. Deegan had a great game. Reel steel. McCormack with thicker legs. The celebration shown by Coulthirst right in front of me was one of pure relief, after he got that out of the way, he then celebrated properly. Probably get some flack for this, my only downside was Corrs performance. Yes I know he scored a tap in header, and I celebrated as much as anyone, but he only seems to win about 1 in 5 headers nowadays, it used to be about 3 out of 5. The guy next to me pointed it out after about ten minutes, he said watch how many headers Corr wins the rest of the game, and I did, and he was right. A lot of the time he was fouling, and a lot he miss judged the flight of the ball completely. He was nearly always out jumped. Something not quite right there. That was his strength 2 seasons ago.
Back to the positives, as there were far more positives. 2 strikers scoring. Bentley getting slowly better and better. The players threw their bodies in the line of shots. 3 massive points and we are now back in the hunt.
Wasn't at the game, so can't comment on performances, but was chatting to my Northampton supporting boss, and he reckons Deegan is pretty good until he gets a contract, and then goes downhill a bit.
Of course, he could just be talking a load of cobblers!
That you really rate Thompson ?!?
I've never been really convinced about the guy, but after today I will keen an open mind.
