No surprise really. I noticed Straker twice for Aldershot at Roots Hall and it's pretty rare for me to notice an opposition player. Great athlete.

According to wikipedia we paid £17,500 plus add ons for him :omg: hopefully he will continue his form of the last few games as Barker gets turned inside out by anyone with a bit of pace!

How was he defensively? It seems like most of our goals get conceded down our left hand side (their right). Straker seems more naturally an attacking full back than someone who just defends, but was just wondering as if we can solid up the left flank more then it'll really give us a chance in the run in.

Wouldnt mind seeing some analysis of that as Im sure its probably about 30% :smile:

The Orient game for example we conceded a goal from both wings, and the Wycombe goal came down the middle.

It's certainly not factual, but I seem to remember Chris Phillips tweeting that most of our goals were coming down that side over the winter period. Makes sense as Barker/Timlin seems more vulnerable than Clohessy/Hurst.

Its not hard to improve after he started his SUFC career in the manner he did. However, as Scott says, he was harshly dropped for the Orient game and im pretty sure (well hopeful!) their first goal wouldn't have happened if Streaker was playing. Shame the bbc or sky highlights havent shown his effort as a few people have said how good it was. He was also heavily involved in our winner on Sat as he cleared wanted the ball off Smith which kickstarted the move.
