The Cup - Season 18!

good win yesterday against a team who are about #150 in England. 3rd round tie looks wiinable if i can keep the PFL at managable levels.

8 wicket win on a TIE. Now away to a Level V, will a be an easy win on a TIE.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB won by 9 wickets, but now has a tough game against the 111th ranked team in England

I got another side within the top 200 in england and MrB ... well, lets just say he has an absolute touch of a tie. Think they are ranked about 2000 .... in england!!

Have rested a couple and playing normal against a lower ranked opp who has pretty much picked his first team with a couple of dangerous batsmen and a bowler. this really could go either way though I've opened tightly enough

Rested 4 and on a TIE, risky but I'm hoping that even if I can't bowl them out they don't seem to be making enough runs despite my reserve bowler getting tonked about.

End of Over 33: 112-3, runrate=3.39
Reinhardt 7-0-40-0
Frecklington* 45 (60 balls)
Pieters 25 (43 balls)
Last Wicket: Lufu c. Lamey b. Digana 18 (FOW: 40/3)

End of Over 37: 265-1, runrate=7.16
Illingworth 7-0-52-0
Marcel* 125 (110 balls)
Wright 19 (10 balls)
Last Wicket: Joost lbw b. Gerrard 117 (FOW: 226/1)

Going well me thinks!

End of Over 14: 72-1, runrate=5.14, reqrunrate=1.97 (142-10)
Dawkins 2-0-9-0
Cavanagh* 18 (27 balls)
Waterhouse 38 (42 balls)

Last Wicket: Zamora c. Thomson b. Osbourne 16 (FOW: 26/1)

Similarly here - though i could have done without an early run out

End of Over 4: 29-1, runrate=7.25, reqrunrate=3.57 (192-1)
Vadiveloo 2-0-8-0
Mckie* 8 (8 balls)
Healy 15 (11 balls)

not much depth to my batting today and Healy wont last long as a trainee so i need a big innings from one of the top 5 and both their opening bowlers are dangerous though suffering on the fitness side

They tonked it in the last 10 with a superb bat getting a ton :stunned: Hopefully we'll have enough in the tank but we can't afford to lose wickets as we only really have a top 4 today.

End of Over 4: 23-0, runrate=5.75, reqrunrate=4.46 (227-4)
Spillane 1-0-3-0
Wanless* 19 (16 balls)
Lamey 4 (8 balls)

Didn't need to worry.

End of Over 12: 87-0, runrate=7.25, reqrunrate=3.71 (227-4)
Meadows 3-0-30-0
Lamey* 48 (37 balls)
Wanless 34 (36 balls)

And that's the end of the match. General Stars won by 7 wickets.
Stormsurge 142-10
General Stars 144-3

End of Over 30: 144-3, runrate=4.80
Sangha 4-0-17-0
Sookram* 30 (40 balls)
Browne 14 (21 balls)

Top 5 batters spread the workload out nicely in the end so shouldn't be too many fitness hits, bar Waters bowling 9 overs and Richardson and Raven bowling 7! ood result against a decent side. Nice amount of money into the bank and here's hoping for a few more favourable ties!

End of Over 21: 98-1, runrate=4.67, reqrunrate=3.28 (192-1)
Tate 1-0-5-0
Mckie* 41 (48 balls)
Healy 50 (73 balls)

maiden first class 50 for Healy. Run rate slowing right down and still worried about the depth in batting but scales tipped my way at the moment

End of Over 32: 150-1, runrate=4.69, reqrunrate=2.39 (192-1)
Sinethemba 6-0-34-0
Mckie* 70 (79 balls)
Healy 72 (109 balls)

after a massive over it's just about done. Not sure what i want next round. A Highly placed team away for the money or a chance at first ever 6th round

I've got a stinker of a tie next, home to Angband Town who are also in the FC top flight!
