So will you have joy, have fun, have seasons on the dance floor jigging to Agadoo and linking hands at midnight, make NYE resolutions or will you, much like me, stay inside and ignore the whole overblown shebang?

This is a no grey area poll, so no liberal wishy-washyness please!

For the past 5 years I have been working earlies the next day so have never been able to do anything of any excitment. So I have gone beyond caring about it.

Life is what you make of it, people. As long as you make the preparations - get in the booze, get in a load of mates... then NYEve can be great!

Cheer up, yer miserable sods.

:p

I tend to work on NYD, so NYE is usually a few drinks either at ours or the in-laws. Last year, I went to bed before* my wife's 88-year-old granny. Rock 'n' roll....

*Yes, that is before. Not with. Before. Not with

I always celebrate it with friends, but it's totally over-rated and just another day really. Just a good good excuse to get together with mates and have a drink.

Poll far too selective so can't vote. Agree with Matt, it's what you make of it. This year I'm in the US for Christmas, but did not want to spend New Year there as well. I also did not want to spend it in the UK, or in Holland.

So, it left me with little other than to stick a pin in a map and see where I end up.

I'm now flying out to Switzerland for six days. And I have absolutely no idea what it'll bring, but I know it'll be a damn sight better than nothing !! :sherlock:

So can any night of the year. What makes NYE special?

Do you allow "those that serve" up into the main house for the celebrations or must they remain below stairs ?? :p
