Talking of things mee-dja, I've been in e-mail contact with the Deputy Editor of FourFourTwo. They're running a piece soon on "Best & Worst" - i.e. the best and worst players of recent years at each football club. I voted Sir Chrissy Powell and Gordon Connelly, incidentally (I resisted the temptation to pick Boere...)

Anyhow, whilst e-mailing him, I moaned about the fact that the mighty Shrimpers are rarely mentioned in the mag - we are regularly not mentioned at all in the League Two round-up column.

Proving that persistence pays, he emailed me this morning to say:

"There's a Q&A with Freddy Eastwood in the next issue, mate. It's the same issue in which the Best & Worst will be put in a supplement, and it's out April 6th."

As I said to him, I reckon sales of FourFourTwo will rise sharply in south Essex next month!
