A Bit of Fun Transfer Rumours Thread (Potential New Signings)

Haven't heard anything about us going for Joss Labadie, but I've always been impressed whenever I've seen him for Newport in recent years. Doesn't he have quite a bad injury record though?

Think he had a season ending ACL injury not too long ago (within last few years) so would fit in nicely in our medical room

Am hearing we are set to announce our second signing of the summer before the end of the week, with the possibility of number three being announced too.

Not true unfortunately.

Joss Labadie is clearly a talented player but there is a real risk is that he would absorb too much of Southend's budget when is basically an aging injury prone player. And it is not necessary or desirable to take that risk. There is no shortage of talented and creative midfielders currently available in the National League. Two of them, for example, have yet to sign a new contract with Wrexham.

Nathan Ferguson has already shown he is a decent player and it is surely time to bring the likes of Harry Philips and Eren Kinali into consideration now for the first team.
