Wes Fonguck Signs

I'm honestly not sure. I'm still amazed, and also worried, that we can go so quickly from not being able to pay wages and then suddenly we can start throwing money around on fees etc. All we can do is try to close our eyes and ears and try not to worry too much, and just trust that someone at the club knows what they are doing.
Transfer fees are always paid in installments, at all levels, usually across a player's contract.

We won't have paid more than low 5 figures, and it will be spread across two years.

Thanks, yes that would explain it.

Not quite accurate, they are most often paid in instalments, but certainly some deals are done with the whole fee up front.

Barnet fans are saying they are relieved to get rid of him and surprised they got a fee
It's almost as if they don't realise just how disillusioned their players have been since the summer Currie left them. Fonguck and Taylor will be better-placed to excel elsewhere. Too much water under the bridge, similar with many of our players after the double relegation.

Is Fonguck just Dieng in sheeps clothing

Wes seems like the type of player who needs proper fans, giving him proper backing and support. Let’s show him what we’re all about as a fan base, and just maybe he will be “quality”, as Barnet fans have said he can be,“on his day”, more often.
