Only got back from weekend away late yesterday afternoon, then straight off to Trust awards night, so, we found a lovely pub - the Duke William - for lunch on Sunday, at Askham, near our overnight stop near Newark.

Fab roast beef late afternoon lunch!

There were both, and that's fine by me as mash is much better for absorbing the gravy!

Ah, the 'good old days'??. Make's me cringe now when i think back to match days in that decade. Lunch (!) was simply a steak & kidney ( crap ) pie pre game in the North Bank.

Morrisons's BBQ stonebaked chicken pizza with chipotle sauce & red peppers, reduced from £3.49p to 88p!.
Ok but imo not worth the original price.

Mixed Grill ( 4oz rump steak, 1/2 chicken breast, 1/2 gammon steak, 2 pork sausages, 2 fried eggs, 2 onion rings, grilled tomato, peas & chips ) at Brewers Fayre just past Kursall for only £7.80p !!!. They sent me a 50% off voucher, that will keep me going till tomorrow!.
