A fantastic Junior Blues Meet the Players Day at Roots Hall this morning, over 90 children, an entertaining training session, autographs, photos and then pizza!

Off to Brugge in the morning. There must be some irony in there somewhere that a four night stay there is both cheaper and nearer than a two nighter in York or Edinburgh.

I sorted out the hairdressers Ipad which means I got a free haircut. My perm never looked better.

Paddles, the first cat of New Zealand. Check out the feet and he has had a welcome to political life from our very own Larry. Can't do links but its on the BBC site.

Got Flight Of The Conchords tickets for Leeds so looks like I will be going to Akbars for a top curry before the gig.

Jupiler knocking me bandy, again. These buggers know a thing or two about beer. And the waffles are seriously on the side of cardinal sins. Absolutely devine.

What a smashing late October day! shorts weather!
Kids playing footie in the park, jumpers for goal posts...........

The beer isn't too shabby either.

I have thought, just a few times, that alongside real ales etc at Tap Room style premises they could sell a limited and changing roll of bottled Belgium beers. There are 100s to choose from and having 1 or 2 every now and then is, imo, a good thing.
