Question Will you attend the first two home games?

Are you attending?

  • Yes, I'm going regardless.

  • No, not until Ron has completely gone.

  • Not sure, need more info from club on sale process.

Not renewed season ticket. It’s got to the point it’s not enjoyable there are better things to do

So noble and principled of you to stop once we fell out of the Football League.

Let's hope we get back one day. See you there if we do.

Oh wow you know me so well 😍🤣

I'm afraid it has nothing to do with being or not being in the FL. Let's be honest the football in L2 was an awful watch and there was certainly very little to celebrate / enjoy in that time let me tell you. I did take my oldest son to one game which we won early in the season but that's the only game I've watched.

If they happen then yes, although barring a miracle in the coming days i expect us to suffer bad losses.
Incidently i notice the official site ( useless ) has yet to publish match day prices for this season. I wonder why?.

I already stated in another thread that I will be going to every single home game in the calendar dated regardless of what happens to us. If I have to be escorted and removed from my seat so be it. It will be a civil matter anyway.

Like others I feel very conflicted.

The players probably need us more than ever but I don’t want to help Ron. We could be in a relegation scrap and the home crowd could make the difference

The only things I can think off which are both imperfect are:

Meet in car park before game to show support for players but don’t attend match

Congregate in car park/Shakespeare but don’t go through turnstiles until 3.06/3.15 whatever

At least when we are away the players will see we have not deserted them

Maybe a friendly unpaid steward or two could be persuaded to open some turnstiles???

If there's a game on, then I'll be doing my usual 90 miles each way journey to watch it. I support Southend United; to me that means any 11 players that wear our shirt and badge. I also care about the club finances and ownership and whether our loyal staff are getting paid but, like them, will continue to do whatever I can to support the team.

Also, I think it's unwise to assume that this forum represents a majority of the supporters as will I hope be evident when we see that 4000+ turn up, regardless of the club ownership, if we do manage to survive long enough to play that first game.
