Here' s what people actually think:-

"While just 26% think the country would be better off getting rid of the royal family, 63% say the opposite."

So the royal family's popularity is on the increase?

That's true at the time we speak.

However, there have been serious dips of popularity in the past and there could well be again (eg if/when Charles ascends to the throne after Liz dies).

I'd query the 25% too, it's probably 25% of socialist rag readers!

OBL gets it in one as it is the Grauniad! :hilarious:

I particularly like the fact that Barna uses a link to an article about why he is wrong on the initial point to try and defend his latest point.

Happy Christmas Barna, your curmudgeonliness has brought joy to many this Christmas period - not quite as many as the Queen, but many nonetheless.

Hey,ho.

You'll no doubt have noticed it was a poll conducted for the Guardian -rather than a poll of Guardian readers.

Merry Xmas to you too.

Which means that 89% care whether she abdicates,

That's not how I was taught to use statistics in the compulsory Part 1 introductory course I did in statistics, as part of my BA (Hons) Politics degree.

A thread about the Queen and we get an I, I, and a my.

Sometimes - just sometimes - it isn't about you Barna.
