As much as I agree with him he's a prize dick so I actually can't listen to anything he says.

Well, clearly you have listened to him otherwise you couldn't agree with him.

And secondly why do you believe him to be a 'dick head'???

I await your thoughtful, well reasoned reply.

If we sign all those defenders that are being mentioned and our existing defenders commit to the club, we will have:

GK - Bentley and the Smiths
FBs - White, Coker, O'neill, Eckersley and Binnom-Williams
CBs - Barratt, Prosser, Bolger, and Thompson.

We probably won't end up with everyone mentioned, but if we do we have plenty of cover and competition, but how do you keep them all happy?

I've always liked Dagnall as a player. He's no Corr, but he'd be a decent replacement I think.

If we're raiding Orient then I'd take David Mooney. Like Dagnall he is out of contract and his goalscoring rate is better than it looks on Soccerbase because he got dumped on the bench for their £10k a week strikers last season.

Boom.........

As you say, we won't end up with everyone mentioned.

Keeping in the cup competitions helps with keeping the players happy but I suspect that once a pecking order is established then 1 or more players might be let out on loan.

However, in the last few seasons we have not had a settled back four over a period of games and so I suspect that initially all the players will believe that they have a good chance of putting themselves forward as first choice if they hit form during the pre-season friendlies.

Blues hope to complete another signing before flying out to Spain on Sunday.

I would imagine, if it's someone from outside the club, that It'll be either Wordsworth or Mclaughlin...........as a pure guess, I reckon the latter.

Brown said today that he wouldn't be surprised if Wordsworth comes in for a medical in the next couple of days, so that would be my guess.

Hopefully we can get Wordsworth & McLaughlin signed up and 2 more strikers who offer something different. Getting cover for the fullback positions would be good, but I'd be happy with loaning someone in if/when required.

Just noticed Greg Halford has left Notts Forest after his contract has run out. Anyone think there's a chance we might be able to bring him in? Big tall centre back, Local lad (born in Chelmsford),Played at Colchester (Some players have to!), 30 years old now and finished last year on loan at Brighton. Could be a useful addition!

Would be on a huge wage and need to take a massive pay cut, can't see why he'd need to. Very good player though.

He can play up front can't he? A centre-back is the last thing we need but someone big and with a decent workrate could work well with Mooney...

Agree he's probably a bit out of pay scope though.
