If Brown goes, who next?

Penney has a good record and would get my vote if he didn't leave along with Phil.

Devonshire could be an option but hasn't he got issues with lack of coaching badges?.

Dougie Freedman might be a bit expensive.

Justin Edinburgh might be a good shout though; depends on how settled he is in the land of the worried sheep.

Personally, I hope Phil Brown stays and does a job for us.

I just want a manager who looks at the creative and scoring side of the game rather than trying to scrape 1-0 wins!:winking:

Justin Edinburgh for me. Performed miracles on a very low budget, and was a great player for us, but of course he is currently employed.
Anyway, Phil Brown is not going to Bolton. My insider says they haven't spoke to, or asked to speak to Phil Brown. They are currently talking to managers without a job, that have applied. The news is the Chris Hughton is the new favourite.

Can't believe Scunthorpe have sacked the man who took them up last season and on a 28-match unbeaten run. Another stupid trigger-happy decision.

I think Justin Edinburgh or Russell Wilcox would be worth pursuing in the event of Phil Brown and Dave Penny both departing.
If only Brown left, I think Penny should be given a chance. He did brilliantly at Doncaster.

Or in Tilly's case, two successive relegations. Those asking for him back are seriously deluded!

Be fair,

The second level was too much for us and relegation from league 1 was an injustice to Steve as that team were hardly paid and vastly under strength .

If Its not Dave Penny, who i imagine would follow PB.
You wont go very wrong for a man with a very recent track record assisted by Graeme Coughlan Russel Wilcox.
He did a great job at Scunny.
