That completely sums up our season in a nut shell....with yet another goal conceded leading to yet another defeat in the final kick of the game.

Well Doncaster Blackpool and Crewe have gone, and some southern clubs have come up. Thats something at least.

FT 3-2

Thanks Southend for securing safety and providing us with a glimpse of the playoffs. Now is the time to build, invest wisely, ship out who is not needed and come back next year intent on making the playoffs.

That is the level now.

3 wins in 16.......

Brown out. We have done well to secure safety etc but we will go down next season without major changes and I dont trust Brown to do that.

Anyone still want Ted Smith as our first choice keeper at the start of next season? Ah, the sound of silence. Gotta bring in someone decent with the Bentley and Payne money Ron.

Smith needs time, I wont write him off after a few games. Give him a full preseason and starts next season, then judge.

We will need a experienced number two though I feel.

Yes, me. I thought we wanted try our young players in the last few games. Not slag them off if we lose.

Our league season is now over. We now have a close season period where Phil Brown will assess what he has got and make decisions accordingly. There will be new players coming in, there will be some current players going out, there will be pre season training and there will be pre season friendlies and of course the tour. Maybe the time to jump up and down will be when we see what unfolds for 2016/17 season eh?

Disagree, things have gone stale under Brown and like I said, I dont have any faith in him to rebuild it.

The run has been terrible and Brown has to take the blame, just as the players do.

Im glad we gave him a run out, despite conceding 8 goals in 3 games (which wasn't all his fault). We couldn't go up or couldn't go down, so it made sense to me to play the youngsters like Bridge & Smith. Both have gained some valuable 1st team experience at this level, just hope that Ted's confidence isn't knocked too much... and as others have said, theres still pre season training and pre season friendlies ahead of us before we go again next season.

No, you misunderstand...........it's not a question whether you do or do not have faith in Brown.........it's the increasing likelihood that he WILL be in charge next season, whether you like it or not.

Ted and Dan are both young in goalkeeping terms,I think throwing Ted in with nothing to lose was the right thing to do!
Not seen the penalty (just heard on the radio commentary) unless he could of thrown his cap on it from 12 yrds you expect a keeper to be beaten or guess right and get something on it!
It's a worry when a young prospect is picked to represent their country and is obviously pants!:dim:
