There will always be people who know more than others. This is because of the people they work with, the people they know, their position or just because they happened to be in the right place at the right time.

I've never quite understood why people get so worked up about it. Maybe jealousy? Either way, we are all on here looking for scraps of information and when you have something that is really confidential but someone else posts something that you know to be absolute tripe and codswallop - because you KNOW what is really the case - it is perfectly acceptable in my opinion to say "I can't divulge my source but..." or something similar.

I think OBL has come in for a bit of unfair criticism here to be honest.

Anyhow, back on topic... When Ranger does come out, I think it's by no means certain he will be welcomed back into the fold. There's another twist or two in this story I reckon. And no, I don't have any "inside" information (no pun intended)... just a gut feeling.

Is there gloating though? Or is it perceived gloating? I must admit I've never noticed anyone on here appear to gloat because they are in the know. There have been a few occasions where I have had info either direct from the horses mouth or from the jockey and trainer certainly (metaphorically of course) and I've just refused to name my source because a) they have asked me not to and b) if I did it would betray their confidence and I wouldn't be trusted with any more info.

I think the person with the knowledge therefore has to shut up and say absolutely nothing - which I'm sure is the case actually a lot of the time - or pipe up and declare their interest but not the origin.

If there have been occasions where someone has gloated, then fair enough, but I've never seen it and OBL certainly wasn't guilty of it in her post above that attracted the comment.

Bit harsh on OBL!! Is a serious subject and not one which private information from a third party is likely to be appreciated. It is the prison service and not a kit manufacturer dealing with this matter.

Off topic I know, but the problem is that her natural level of testosterone is so high that any "normal" female would have to dope to reach the same.

That's not the same argument. Bolt is 100% male. Semenya is both male and female. It has been reported that she has enough on her male side to be able to switch to competing against men in the future if she wishes. She also married a woman.
