League Two news: Steve Ball is named new Colchester boss

Yet another internal appointment on the other side of Essex, Steve Ball is our new manager, what's that coming over the hill, it's r********!

Take it yourself and the general consensus isn’t a good one about this appointment?

He got Clacton relegated, Stanway failed to get promotion to senior league and didn’t pull up tree at Maldon & Tiptree, not a great record in lower division of non league in step 4, 5 & 6!

Ideally a new face from outside of the club, but the trouble is, most things seem to be controlled by Robbie Cowling and our Director Of Football Tony Humes, so a new manger has little chance of changing things.

Funny because thats what some are calling for on here. Plenty of examples of why they can fail and many managers would not work under those restrictions at a smaller club.

DOF's are like 'Good on the ball' CB's.......Not needed in L2
