Latest Rumours Transfer Rumours Thread (Potential New Signings)

Ross McCormack is right up our street, 34 years old , striker and in English football since 2017 has a 1 in 3 strike rate, 5 goals in 15 games in 4 years.

(Went to Aus and scored 14 in 17).

Just released after managing 2 appearances for Aldershot.

Phil will love him, there is our 29 goal a season striker lol.

Perhaps Phil fancies an Indian takeaway and signed a couple of his old players at Hydrabad

I really liked the look of Kabongo Tshimanga when we played Borehamwood in the cup league season. He’s got a decent record in the national league as well with 15 goals this season in the league. Only 23 as well so plenty of room for improvement.

BorehamWood turned down 100k from Chesterfield for Tshimanga a few months ago before we signed Danny Rowe. He will be going to the football league this summer..feels like a Peterborough sort of signing maybe Rotherham.

Michael cheek at Bromley ? Not sure about contract but scores loads for a midfielder

Chesterfield also offered 100k for Cheek aswell in reference to my last post. This is before we signed Danny Rowe,so if you wanted Tshimanga or Cheek you’d have to pay some big money. Think Southend would be better of plucking players from the NLS/NLN who are ready to make the step up

Apart from Rhys Murphy you don’t want any of them on the list. They are abysmal players. Murphy be a great signing for your lot at this level, proven and scores goals. The rest are sh*te. Just trying to give a realistic view to you all as we’ve been here 3 years! (Chesterfield fan coming in peace)

Apologies didn’t see Kwame Thomas,Tanner or Hyde. Average players for this level them 3 but nothing spectacular,I think you can do much better if your owner is willing to back Phil Brown.

Like Brandon Goodship who scored 37 in 41 at level- yes we've been there. Nonetheless we have people who actually believe signing hungry, indeed severely under nourished, players from that level is the way to go. Happily the current manager isn't one of them. We will see.

Lucky for us then ?

Who's been a standout player at NL this season out of curiosity?

Yes but point being whenever you signed him you was either L1/L2. Dropping down a level and all of a sudden some players you thought were dreadful turn out pretty good. Curtis Weston,Hayden Hollis,Jak Mccourt to name a few are prime examples for us.

Asante/Hollis/Whelan for us before Asante/Hollisgotnseason ending injuries. Sam Barrett and Orsi for Maidenhead are good. Tshimanga is playing a level or two below where he should be,superb player. Michael Cheek,Paul McCallum,Angelo Balanta all fantastic players at this level. Balanta especially should probably be playing higher. Harry Beautyman great in midfield for Sutton plauing below his level (until they win the league tommorow) but on a very good wage at Sutton,Ben Whitfield at Torquay again I expect to be in the EFL next season with someone else if Torquay don’t go up,John Rooney the best midfielder in the division for Stockport and Paddy Madden too good for this level. There is a lot of standout players I could be here listing them al day to be honest. It’s very much like a League 2.5 this even though it’s known as ‘non-league’ everyone except i think Dover and Maidenhead are full time. It’s not as bad as you may think just really hard to get out of!
