Latest Rumours Transfer Rumours Thread (Potential New Signings)

Dalby isn't a signing that will have you jumping off your seat esp with the Or*ent connection but hopefully the boy will come good here. I trust Brown.

yes it was derby either way if phil brown thinks he is a good keeper maybe he should get him in as cover for Arnold .

Yes it should quality over quantity

One thing that Brown does is that when he gets a winning team together, he keeps playing them and the result is a good run of points .......

............ but the other thing Brown does is keep changing formations and players when we aren't doing so well (as opposed to keeping what he thinks are the best XI & letting them gel).

So I think the more players we have, the higher the chances of Brown tinkering ........

brown did ok the last time he tinkered with the squad he had got us up i beleve ..
He's very streaky. We went on good unbeaten/winning runs, confidence was high and he kept faith with settled sides. When we lost though, he was all over the place, changing for the sake of changing, and we tended to go on bad losing runs too.

This is probably as accurate as anything (Post 33)

Post 1 in that thread is the most accurate as it is constantly kept up to date....

what we know of Phil Brown is he has high standards and is demanding. He will fall out with people as a result. If you work you keep the shirt, but he likes a squad so everyone knows if they don't put it in someone is there to take their place. Apparently Conor Clifford looked the bollocks but Deegan sorted him out, Brown decided he didn't fancy it and that was that. the squad maybe looks a bit bloated, but I really want to see some of the younger players, like Phillips, Gard, Kinali, get a chance and really take it

Would be great if it was can’t see it tho….
Nor can I. Indeed, it is difficult to imagine many strikers plying their trade in Division 1 last season would be prepared to drop down to the National League unless they thought their time left in the game was limited.

I did think we might look a little short with 4. Depends who we sign though. If it’s Kargbo then we only have one properly experienced striker to choose from.
kargbo + another experienced striker and we’ll be looking miles better.
As a Blues supporter for almost 60 years, I would have loved to have seen the Manager go for my son in January, when we need a goal scoring striker. It’s also a shame that Brown hasn’t the budget to spend on achieving it now, either.

Little update for you guys, as was away the last couple of days:

Holmes should be signing, don’t be surprised if that’s today.

We want both the loanees. If push comes to shove, it would be Dennis over the QPR striker, but PB wants both. Dennis is seen more of a wide player by PB, but could be deployed up top as well.

On top of that, we are fairly advanced with another striker.

Maguire-Drew is still bubbling away, but isn’t a priority. Small chance of both him and Dennis, if Dennis goes elsewhere then efforts will be stepped up.

PB wants another CB, ideally two. Work ongoing on that also.

Also, wants Seadon out on loan. Not seen as “real competition” for the no 1 shirt just yet. Could see the Derby keeper signed on a one year deal, and Seadon to become “real competition” next season. Highly regarded, just not quite “ready”.

Work being done on outgoings too. Sim has impressed PB massively, and as Moley said, is at the front of the running (along with Atkinson before his injury).

If PB gets who he wants in and out, the squad will be a lot more balance then it’s been for quite sometime.

Thanks for the update BW2.

Regarding the striker in your opinion would he be a good signing and is he a name we all have heard of?
