Personally I’d rather have Bridge on the pitch than Powell. I see Powell as an impact player when players are getting tired.

it is the fact it was probably obvious which way it was going much like the home save from a penalty, if the keeper goes the wrong way the pace and height do not matter. Powell does not have the ability to fool the keeper, so keeper always has a good chance to save

Probably thought this was his opportunity to get the goal and boost his confidence. A lot of goal scorers do it when they haven’t scored for a while. Normally it’s an easy win.
