Col.U.’s decent manager stays 5 months !

Zeuss

Manager
Matt Bloomfield ,having done extremely well at that place, has moved on to a proper club—Wycombe Wanderers (where he played). Let’s hope they appoint Phil Brown and we get 6 easy points next season.

Yes Matt was offered the job and understandably took it because he loves that club, I don't think he would have gone anywhere else at present but that opportunity was too good for him to turn down and Wycombe paid the compensation amount written into his contract. Sounds like we will go for a short term replacement initially and then plan for next season.

I was more surprised at Ainsworth leaving Wycombe. Seems a strange move. He really had the keys to the kingdom at Wycombe. In the cutthroat world of football management, I can’t see him being afforded the same time and good will at QPR.

Ainsworth has always wanted to manage QPR after he enjoyed a long spell there as a player, he was probably ready for a change and thought he had taken Wycombe as far as he could. They are a fairly small club with a limited stadium so even if they go up this season they won’t stay there for very long. Rangers on the other hand are a much bigger club with huge potential and a stadium roughly twice the size. He looks delighted to be there as does Matt Bloomfield at Wycombe. We have appointed ex Orient manager Ross Embleton (Our recruitment boss) as a temporary manager whilst we go through the permanent manager process, I gather we have had over 100 applicants already including some well known names. No not Mickey Mouse:Winking:
