Remember it in the late 70s early 80s. couple of good nights in their after last games of the season I remember.
I wouldn’t argue but seem to remember standing/ sitting in the East stand watching it on the pitch but 45 years ago you could be correctI thought the fireworks were set up on the massive South Bank.
The Shrimpers was always where it is, below the East Stand. Fanny's was above - where the Far Post is?It was in, below East Stand.
A venue for live bands, parties etc will be included in new stadium for sure.
I have been to a function at the Exeter Chiefs RFU stadium and it was very good, and that was 20 years ago so designs must have moved on.
Wives and girlfriends? Free love In the 60s manCertainly in the late 60's, the current Shrimpers Bar was an entertainment venue on a Saturday evening. Some of the players would also be there with their wives & girlfriends.
Big Norm?Great place Fannys for a late drink...and the legend bouncer .GEORDIE
Ironic that a fanny ended up owning the club and running it into the groundThis was spoken about a short while ago. Called Fanny's believe it or not.
Night's out were different in them days.
I always thought Fanny's was near the bottom. The Shrimpers was always where it is, below the East Stand. Fanny's was above - where the Far Post is?
