Breaking News OLDHAM game now ALL TICKET. No pay on the day - sales finish midnight Friday online

Back onto topic, and not entertaining morons…

IF the game goes ahead, and IF the game goes ahead at Roots Hall, I really do hope Kev & the boys get terrific backing, like they have done since the three amigos came on board.

Fully respect those that are staying away till RM goes, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I think their loyalty deserves our support. The situation for EVERYONE at the Club has been horrific, and even though everyone is up to date with wages, at least till Monday anyways (so they maybe behind again come match day 1) they all deserve a huge cheer, round of applause and songs sung about them, regardless of the result.

As for us fans, it’s a chance for 90 plus minutes to forgot the horror that is off the field, and submerge ourselves in supporting our boys in Blue. They are going to need it with everything that’s going on.

It's hard to disagree with any of that. As much as i'm seething about the whole situ, i can see me grabbing a ticket if they ever go on sale. It would be criminal not to support i feel. I was saying to a West Ham lad today we'd have lost the support of the players and management if it weren't for the amazing fans backing in huge numbers home and away.

As I say, I completely understand those fans that want to stay away, and they are well within their right. However….

Some fans won’t understand how close we have come to not having a team to support this season. How close we came to not having a league to play football in.

Whilst this season maybe tough, we may be on the receiving end of some horrible score lines, we should count ourselves lucky we are actually out there playing football and being able to cheer those on.

The Oldham attendance can literally go either way.

Ground doesn't pass safety and it's literally a crowd of 0

Ron in charge and I can see a sub 4k gate.

New owners in place 9k+

With 10 days to go it's still so up in the air.
I don’t know whether Ron will still be in charge or not but I can state categorically that ,assuming the match goes ahead, you are quite wrong and the attendance will be between your figures of 4,000 and 9,000 .

Easiest way will be to buy at home and print out ticket - no need to visit ticket office
That's ok for those who have a printer, i don't. So i'll pop down to the ticket office probably on Weds or Thurs ( i'd presume the queues will be long on Mon & Tues ), & purchase mine then.

At the moment I genuinely don't know what to do. I attend games with my dad, brother and a group of mates who have been going together for decades. We go to the pub before and sometimes after. Most of us live mid/North Essex and travel in by train which can take a while.

Football is an escape for me. I have two young kids one of whom has a chronic health condition and the weeks can be tough. I look forward to my Saturdays, having something to look forward to helps me massively.

My dad is elderly and won't be around forever. He doesn't care about the financial stuff. He just wants to watch his team, and I value the time I spend with him at football. I don't get that time elsewhere really.

I hate Ron Martin with a passion. I always believed that he was not taking money out of the club, his moral conduct over the past few months have put major doubts in my mind about that.

I have a season ticket, I want to support Maher and the lads, who i have ultimate respect for. But I 100% understand and respect those who want to send a strong message to Ron Martin and perhaps more importantly the wider football community and media by staying away.

I genuinely have no idea what I am going to do. It's a shame to see people who have made their decision one way or another sniping at those that disagree. Like everything in life, it is not as simple a decision as it looks.

So much in your post is relatable to me. It's a classic heart versus head decision. You are emotionally invested in what match day means and gives you. Be true to your heart and go with that, be at ease with your decision. It's your right of choice as it is for anyone. I wish you well fellow Shrimper.

I'd give anything to be able to go and watch a game with my Dad and brother again.

Life is short. Go to the game.

Do what's right for you and your group mate, what people think of us is none of our business and quite honestly they should respect your decision.

I am not going/renewing until the Martins are 100% but.... its MY money, life and decision and I understand and respect those who have their reasons to go it's as simple as that.

I think the trouble is it’s not getting better theres no light at the end of the tunnel and the majority of us can only see it getting worse, which is why at some point you need to draw your head above the parapet say enough enough and make a stand. But that’s just my personal opinion . I’ll be spending home match days outside Ron’s house. Then we can see how good his security is ? Where will they base themselves.

Completely agree and see both sides of the arguement.

As I say, I won’t knock anyone that boycotts games, and I won’t knock anyone that attends matches. At the end of the day, we all want the same thing, RM out of our Club.

It’s getting very hard to read post at the moment we all have one love our mighty blues but the Ron martin saga is splitting supporters and causing arguments the sooner this man leaves the club we all love the better, we all need to remember only a few years ago over 33000 of us were all together watching the mighty blues at Wembley

The players and management we have need and deserve our full support. With the actual football we must stick together. I am not against protest, but please use all the pent up frustration to get behind the team, no matter what happens on the pitch. Save the protests, Ron won't be there to witness them and remember any protests involving pitch invasions, flares etc will only result in further financial penalties.
