Col U, Southend on BBC Essex on a Saturday is worth it’s weight in gold compared to that hot air rubbish and long may the rivalry continue, preferably in the same division!

Unfortunately we are 40/1 for promotion and they are 4/1 for relegation so not likely this season.

They along with many others, supported us in our plight. I can't hate them but that rivalry will always remain, and the Essex Derby will hopefully be back on the cards soon.

Incidentally, has anyone seen or heard from @Colchester and proud! recently? There's a really decent Col U supporter who has been on this forum for years and right behind us in our fight. Not seen any posts for some time and I do hope he's ok.

Glad to hear things are falling into place for you all now, I believe you may have a bit too much to do this season although with a crazy run of results the playoffs are still a possibility. Next season as things settle down I feel you will be a real threat to this division, this club is about to ignite in a big way, enjoy it!

Agree with BBBL 100%...Always loved going to the Worzels...great town,history and real good beer....never felt in danger there...even Layer road was a "one off"ground.

Last time i went in there pre game Dec 09, it was what i categorize as a 'traditional pub'. Same as 'The Drury Arms' near Layer rd, which is now a Co-op extra store.

The Drury is much more upmarket than a Co-Op, it’s a Sainsbury local and Argos collection point

Much sooner have a beer with a Col U fan than a plastic premiersh*** “supporter”. That said I want them to be relegated.

Col Ewe fans are mythical things like Sasquatch or the Loch Ness monster. Some people claim to have met them but it’s never been verified.

I take amusement at their regular struggles but the real enemy are the premiershi* plastics who are an existential threat to our club.

That was a big pub,iirc,always FULL of Sarfend fans...more than the Spread,Lion and Boar together...it was like a home from home

No chance. You are going to have to go some to sink as low as forest green and Sutton. I think those 2 will save you this season, but really need to sort your **** out for next seaosn as suspect it will be tougher down the bottom.
Is it just bad managerial appointments, or issues higher up the chain?
