Phil Brown

PB inherited a team built by the legend PS and showed his abilities on his 2nd appointment. In my opinion he was always more interested in his TV appearances, still at least he remembered he wasn't coach of Southampton 😱 so could be worse.

Thank you for one of my happiest days in football when we won promotion at Wembley but we have had and currently have better managers gracing RH.

Bloody typical we’ve already taken 6 points off them this year :Frustrated: Can we replay the matches? Lots of other teams will complete the taking of 6 points from Kiddy before the season is through, I think we can confidently predict.

Kidderminster recently appointed Dean Holdsworth in an executive role. He must have been heavily involved in the appointment of PB. Holdsworth was once manager of Chelmsford City, many of their fans rate him as their worst ever manager. The Holdsworth/Brown set up has failure written all over it. Will be interesting if Brownie signs any ex Shrimpers.

Ridgewell and Kiernan fit the age profile, and might be available if they can get day release from their nursing homes

To be fair (as I always am to PB) Ridgewell was a Bond signing.

Has a manager ever managed in EPL, Championship, L1, L2, NL and NL N/S?

Can only be a matter of time before he’s managing in the Essex Senior League (whilst waiting for for the England job, natch) the way his career has gone.

I quite liked Phil Brown. Any promotion winning Southend manager deserves respect but he was found lacking when he didn’t have money to spend and feel he will struggle at Kidderminster.
Hope I I am wrong.
IMO he was like a fish out of water after our relegation to the NL. Pre season he signed some 'old un's ' & stated 'Southend Utd have shown their intent to return to the football league by the signings we'd made'.
I remember at the time a Dagenham fan commenting that back then, you needed fresh younger players wanting to make a name for themselves, rather than players in their final season or two?.
Fast forward from then, the Dagger's fan was right?.

Yet somehow he expected us to "run all over teams".
Those dreaded words still haunt me.

Fair play to Phil - he’s a survivor!
It will be interesting to see if he’s learnt anything about this league - keep an eye on the profile of player he signs.
If he’s got any sense he’ll keep an eye on the rumours thread…
