Have the consortium ever considered a Slack channel for club comms? Great for running business asynchronously, my company uses it across 3-4 different time zones, well worth the cost in efficiency gains as time is money after all.
Sounds like a sales pitch

On a more serious note, if we were to get promoted would Bim be an option on loan? Would make sense on the pitch, and financially off the pitch.

Wouldn't mind that Devante Rodney! He was a real problem for us last night. Would no doubt require a fee though.
That first goal was sublime. Sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and say well played. No-one was at fault, and I find it strange that we have to find a culprit for every goal we concede. Sometimes no-one is at fault, it's just good play from the opposition.

Was a time when Southend could bring players down from Newcastle to play for the club , mind you the promise of a club house to live in would of been a big draw .

Cost of living in the south compared to the north is quite different hence a lot of northern based players won't countenance a move south. Especially at NL level.

David Webb made a point of only signing players from around the M25 area, and that was late 80s/early 90s.

Something that wasn't lost on my walk from the Twisted Mule to the ground.

The amount of brand new cars in peoples driveways and the brand (BMW, Audi, Tesla etc) shows just how cheap it is RE housing. Whilst the price of everything else (Cars, food etc) is broadly the same price across the country it is the housing stock that really allows the northerners to "splash their cash" as a lesser proportion is going on rent / mortgage.

Furthest Devante Rodney has been with a club is Walsall and by all accounts wasn't very successful (although being signed whilst injured probably didn't help his account there) and lasted 5 months ish before Rochdale came in for him.

Noticed that Matt Dennis has be Retweeting the club a bit recently and put one or two tweets from last night.

Not looking into it too much but a bit weird how he's started doing it all of a sudden

To be fair, we had quite a few ex-Shrimpers liking and posting about last night.

Stan Collymore, Sam Hart (who was there), Steve Arnold, Lee Sawyer, Matt Dennis, Frank Nouble, Ben Clarkson (who was there) among others.

He seemed to really enjoy his time here. Probably just happy for his ex teammates

Spot on and I have said the same under the TV highlights section. Wasn't watching and from the comments on here you would think there were defensive howlers. Mistakes possibly but that's football and it's more about credit to the opposition

There were a few exceptions to Webb's rule. Brett Angell from Stockport being one of them.
