Post-Match Thread and Ratings Forest Green 2-2 Southend United..We win on Penalites 4-2

Im lost for words. What a remarkable achievement after everything.
I found myself welling up at the end. The players and management team are all heroes, every one of them.
The game looked dead and buried at 2-1 with Forest Green trying everything to take the sting out of the game.
Then out of nowhere Big Ben suddenly appears on the right wing and sets up Bridgey to slot it home. Incredible emotion....unbelievable never say die attitude.
I thought to myself that surely the big man upstairs wouldn't have scripted this if we weren't then going to go on a win on penalties!
After Walker's early miss I again thought that's us done. I really didn’t fancy Hayes to save any of their spot kicks and in the end he didn't need to!
How fitting it was that it was Gus who stepped up to send us to Wembley. What a man....so likeable....so relatable and so deserving of his moment in the spot light.

Seeing Kev celebrating at the end with tears in his eyes was a magical moment. Whenever you doubt him, he stands up to be counted and delivers.

This is going to take a little while longer to sink in...as it is for everyone else I'm sure.

So proud to be a Shrimper again.
Now let's finish off this epic journey with one more huge performance at Wembley.
The club, players and supporters all deserve it.
