Club World Cup

One of the matches was on in the pub, was a poor 0-0 but one thing I did like is that the ref wore a body cam, so when there was a controversial call the stream could show exactly what the ref saw from his view, think that'd be useful in more matches.

Saw R_Madrid v El Halal last night .A stumbling !-1 draw where RM even managed to miss a late pen.Not a good advert for the tournament.

Putting aside the other points, I've actually enjoyed the games I've seen so far and it's thrown up some interesting games - like Boca Juniors v Benfica, who met for the first ever time last night. I love seeing all the different footballing cultures and it's better than no games to watch at all.
Really enjoyed that game. It was brutal, like the days of old

See Botofogo (from Rio) beat PSG last night .Saw them play in Brazilia recently when they lost to Capitol (the home side) 1-0 (in what I'm reliably informed was an historic game) ie the first time when a higher league side lost to a lower league one in a cup competition there since the 60's.FWIW thought they were quite good. :Winking:

Sawc my first decentish game in the tournament in Athletico Madrid's narrow 1-0 win over Botafumo (Rio).Knew that AM weren't going to win 3-0 ,which was what the Spanish commentator said they needed to qualify.

Think you'd be wasting your money. :Winking:

If you've written Chelsea off then there's always hope!

I happen to agree with you though, PSG just look miles above anyone else currently. They made Real Madrid look like a park team.

They've got that ultimate blend of high press off the ball, with everyone on it, combined with pace and technical ability when going forward. Very difficult to do anything about it as the oppo

I think PSG will win.....But ..i still remember happily when Chelsea played Bayern here in the final...everyone thought Bayern would win easily ...even the Nürnberg fans i know here wanted and thought Bayern would win (and Nürnberg & Bayern fans hate each other)....so being a Brit,i live in hope..CUMON CHELSEA

TBH I haven't seen Chelsea play in this competition but don't think I need to as a p.t. Fulham fan!

I see Infantino is bragging about the CWC bringing in £2bn worth of revenue to justify it's existence. It sounds less impressive when you realise that £1bn of it was the Saudi-owned DAZN buying streaming rights and then a couple of Saudi companies were also big sponsors. I'm sure the Saudis spent that much money because they fully believe in the CWC, definitely has no relation to them being made hosts for the 2034 World Cup...
