Doncasters View on Balloons? 100% ok on the Flags

I'd guess so, we have lots of big flags, banners etc all around the ground.

EDIT:Just heard why the flags are allowed. Our club's nicked your idea and ordered thousands of free flags for the fans too.

Hi David,

Balloons have caused some problems for players in some matches recently in the Football League. It would be preferable not to bring such into the stadium.

Flags are welcome (the more the merrier) – stewards will look out for any which are on dangerous implements eg. A heavy stick/pole which could be used as a weapon. However, a normal hand-held flag is fine.

"Not preferable", I would say that is definitely not a no to balloons at all. So the more the merrier.

But i would be careful with the flags, "heavy poll" hmmm, i would imagine that the flags given out last Friday would be more than acceptable reading his comments.

Will be a great advert for league 1 support friday! Both set of fans will make so much noice there will be a real buzz throughout the ground, can't wait!

I just hope we keep singing right till the end, even if Doncaster score and after the final whistle if we lose, i'm sure the players would appreciate it and I believe we have alot to thank our players for after what they have acheived this season reaching the play offs. Lets make it a night to remember whatever the outcome!
 
Their Chairman prob feels like an idiot after letting the fans down with no travel or flags so thought he had better do something and fast lol

Just so happens he had to copy us, oh they are going to look silly to the rest of the fans in the leagues live on sky!

Smiffy, get the big flags out now!!

Our huge flags on Poles will not be allowed....anyway I think we will have enough ammo..:)

Spot on. If we are unfortunate to let a goal in on Friday, we need to react like we did at Southampton. Up the volume to drown out their goal celebrations, OK, we'll be pi55ed off, worried, concerned etc. but we HAVE to be a wall of noise to back the team.

Any negativity should be left at home. If you want to moan, do it online on here on Saturday!

do they not come off of the poles, you could always tie them up to seats etc like others do once off the pole?

I think the chairman's given us enough what with the stadium, 2 promotions and stopping the club from going bust.
