Changed your Avatar, your glasses are more than half full is there a subliminal message there / or is it just that one glass is never enough - lush.

Nothing subliminal, trying to adopt a more chilled and mellow persona and it seemed appropriate, besides which, one glass is never enough.

Lock him up and throw away the key - come on hardly crime of the century - I hope the police aren't wasting their time with this.

And that's taking things out of context, my comment needed to be read in conjunction with the one a bit above which I quoted about the w anker gesture.

Slight difference of opinion beginning to emerge compared with the opinions of the two pro refs, Singh & Lord Football.

Making sound as it was, a crude, studs up challenge. All the people around me in the south upper thought it was a red.

Not quite Ian.

Ex Trust Treasurer Bloke comments:

Let me put it this way, if your car breaks down you call a mechanic. He tells you "sorry Mr Irate your big end has gone and its gonna cost you £400". You then come to me, a "professional ref" and I say "I think you need to put some petrol in it and it will cost you £30". You'd rather believe me because I am telling you what you want to hear rather than the mechanic who is telling you how it is, no matter how much you don't want it to be.

So you believe the Ex Trust Treasurer bloke, I'd rather stick to my own judgements based on my own expertese. That said, if your car breaks down, just drop me a PM.

Not quite. Depends if your big end has gone or if you need petrol. The mechanic isn't necessarily correct just because he is a mechanic.

In this case, Moussa just needed some petrol, with maybe an oil and filter change, definately not a big end replacment.

Singh got it badly wrong with a knee jerk over re-action to a strong tackle from both players and no injury resulted [trainer not needed] and you refs will cover each others backs regardless.

His perception of a reckless tackle is fundamentally flawed on this one, and underlines his generally poor officiating. From 4 games I have seen and watched him ref, he has had one really good game and in the way of things his average game is not up to scratch IMO.

I do not ask you to mow my lawn whether it needs a short back and sides or not or if my mower does not work, so why put up flotsome/diversion of the point at issue using irrelevant annalogies.

I used that analogy because you appear to be using some nameless ex Trust Treasurer as an expert. I am sorry you do understand what analogies are and why they are used.

Oh, and if you read my postings you'll know I am an ex-ref, so have no reason to cover anyone's back - I am merely attempting to inject some reality into the debate and highlight the wild inaccuracies and hyperbole in your postings.

Hey, some people know who I am.

I was just pointing out that your analagy was flawed as the mechanic was indeed wrong, bourne out by the video evidence.

At the end of the day the ref was WRONG and he is paid to get it right, god knows he was close enough to the incident. Like i said think his turban slipped over his eyes. An absolute disgrace

The indictment is that he fails to adequately see a tackle which takes place a few yards in front of him and issues a red card, even though he could not have seen what actually took place.

He made a mistake and should be man enough to admit it, on review.

Lord Football take note:- posting on another thread [do you agree - have you actually looked at the replay ?]

Fouls committed - SUFC 12 BHAFC 21

Another stat - Virgo is 6ft2 and 13 stone - looking at the video Mousse was first to the ball and big **** was the one who was late....

can't believe anyone knocking any Southend player after watching the 60 minutes before the sending off ......

South Upper. Got a very clear view of the sending off.

If on seeing the tape it looks like Moussa was harshly treated then I'll hold my hands up and join in the witch-hunt against the ref. It looked like he got the decision spot on to me.

No he DID NOT end off ,
How you could see from the south stand upper is beyond me when i was sitting west stand near halfway libne and still could not see it clearly

Moussa's re-action in first instance to Singh even pulling a yellow says it all.

When he saw the red he was distraught/amazed, bearing in mind he was on the ground prior to any impact and came away with the ball + being already grounded impossible to jump into the tackle, two footed or otherwise [physical impossibility].

This seems a perfectly legitimate challenge and if anything he was swivelling his legs to the left to wrap his foot around the ball [succesfully achieved] & avoid contact with the opponent.

What's your view, Lord Football.

What's your view, Lord Football.

Ok, I've watched that about 20 times now. It's not the best angle. It would be have been interesting to see if from the other side.

Three things to note.

1. The referee is a few yards away so has a clear view of the incident.

2. Moussa's appears to go in, and then his right leg appears to go over the ball with some force. It's not a good tackle.

3. You cannot tell from those shots whether or not Moussa gets the ball. He obviously does get the player.

If that is the video evidence we are going to use in an appeal, it will be inconclusive.

From the way i veiwed it he DID GET the ball, the brighton manager and several of the brighton players said it was not a sending of , but of course you know best. How do you know what video Tilly is going to submit?.The camer was above my head and over on the east stand so there should be both angles?

I don't know, that's why I said "If that is the video evidence we are going to use in an appeal, it will be inconclusive."

I'd be very interested to see it from the East Stand perspective.

And if you can see, from the Virgin Media video that Moussa gets the ball then you've got x-ray vision because the Brighton player's body obscures it.
