Has anyone ordered upgrades from 3 before? Had to come back from London to Southend to be in to receive the delivery and no sign so far. Want to go out to lunch but no joy.

On a related note, does anyone have the Samsung U800? Too late now but thought I'd see what sort of a review they might get from the SZ font of knowledge.

don't you get them sent to work? so much easier! it is a bit of a nightmare otherwise though, can come anytime from 9-5 and I remember driving over to Basildon numerous times to pick up missed deliveries

Trying to get a 3 helpdesk man to understand that you might work somewhere without a number is a little like pulling teeth.

I have literally no idea why I didn't give him my London address to deliver to! There is something fun about leaving London for Southend when all the commuters are going the other way though.
 
Why is it that when you are waiting for a delivery at home and are dying for a number 2, that you try and hold it off as long as possible, because you know that the moment your ar$e touches the toilet seat that the doorbell will ring

Frustrating yes, and indeed nerve-wracking. I'm waiting on a shipment from Colombia as we speak and I never quite know who it is that will be knocking on my door.

Thankfully got that out of the way already although I was more worried about the door ringing just after the moment mentioned above.

That would be a tough decision.

that has happened to me before, you just can't hurry it up enough. Luckily I caught the guy as he was getting in his van.
 
When im waiting for something that is too big to fit my post box or have to sign for something, I always miss it, I always get the red bit of card saying pick it up at the royal mail office in Southend.

I normally get around this problem by having a bucket and some wet wipes to hand.
Either that or just bite the bullet.
Pretend you can't smell anything if they give you a funny look and say you have a bad back if they ask why you're walking funny..
Oh and tuck your kecks into your socks, just to be safe.

Mate.....I have been with 3 for 2 years, not a single problem until i was offered an upgrade 3 weeks ago and since then i have been through hell.....15 phone calls lasting approx 45 mins each talking to people that i simply could not understand, sat in all yesterday for my phone to be uplifted.....did they show? Did they F*uck

I know......Senga was saying the same thing, it is like a conspiracy.

The B&Q saga ended up with 33 phone calls, speaking to 9 different members of staff at the Garfdee store in Aberdeen and 6 weeks in total to get a shed and a tone of Slate delivered.

Although they took my money from my CC on the day of the order!!

Problem is that they offered me a far more inferior phone (i discovered after receiving it) as an upgrade and are now saying that i can not exchange it even though i get no signal at all on the handset :(
 
When my sister got married she had her wedding list at John Lewis. One of the items her and her now husband bought was a kitchen bin. John Lewis delivered two of them.

My now brother in law rang up John Lewis to let them know. They then asked him to take it back to the store. He refused saying that they had caused the error and it was up to them to come and collect.

They agreed and asked him to be in during the day to let them come and collect. He again refused saying that they had caused the error and he wasn't about to waste a holiday day waiting for them. He then went one further and explained that, in line with their policy of charging £20 for an evening delivery, he was going to charge them £20 for an evening pick up.

Believe it or not, they actually credited his John Lewis account...
