1960's TOFFS Shirt

Westcliff Shrimper

Don't know if anyone remembers this, but a few of us on here asked TOFFS (The Old Fashioned Shirt Company) to do a proper 1960's shirt, in navy with the old fashioned badge.

Well, finally, they did and here is the result:

Not bad, is it? Would recommend anyone to get one

Don't lie. You got it from Next! It's obvious.

Indeed - the shirt has white cuffs, same as the collar.

And as everyone knows, the cuffs must always match the collar

Hmmm! That's interesting. I got one on 14 Dec and it is definitely not navy (the correct colour) as is yours. Mine is more royal blue (wrong). Think I will return it. They did the same thing with the WBA type shirts. The early ones were too light a blue.

And to be absolutely pedantic if one studies the 1968/69 team photo the original shirts had a blue pinstripe on the collar and two on each cuff.

Get that straight back, and feel free to use the photo - I'll email it to you if need be.

Thanks. I'll let you know if I need it. I am also inclined to point out to them that they would have been better to have used the design of the Farmer's 1970 shirt (although in Scotland's navy blue) for the most accurate replica.

Simon,

What's the size like? I want to get one, but sometimes I take Medium, sometimes Large, but obviously I can't see it to try on or judge!

Are the sizes big (eg a big medium) or average?

I got large (I'm a touch under 5' 11') and it's probably a bit big on me.

Due to a communication breakdown between me and my girlfriend I now have two as well - one navy blue (which I bought) and one royal blue (which she got me), both of which came from Toffs

Anyway, the royal blue one is smart too, so reckon I'll keep both

Well, my replica shirt is an XL, as it most of the clothing I have bought in the club shop, and my TOFFS shirt is an XL as well - and is a little bit more snug. That's probably due to the material, as the TOFFS one is 100% cotton.
