2nd Test, Edgbaston

KP just gone lbw the ball after hitting the most extraordinary shot. He reversed sweep a Murali ball miles into the stand for 6! 290-6 dont look too great but a 100 partnership from these two will be good.

Naff shots from Plunkett and Jones see us 294-9 now

295 all out... 5 wickets for 5 runs is a bloody unbelievable collapse, even by England's standards.

Lanka are 14/1. Tharanga has bagged his pair, falling to Hoggard in the first over once again. So, they're 140 behind with 9 wickets in hand. We have a slight advantage, I reckon... but not much of one.

Monty!!

14.4 Panesar to Sangakkara, OUT, Panesar strikes in the first over, the big wicket of Sangakkara, tossed up, comes down the track and chips it in the air, straight into the hands of Collingwood at midwicket

Top man - big wicket there, Sangakkara was looking well-set. SL are 42/2 - 112 runs behind with 8 wickets in hand.

From the BBC Minute-by-Minute commentary i had to put up with at work yesterday it sounded like Monty had a great day... We've won 51% of Tests played at Edgbaston, and lost something like 23%.
