3rd Test

Freddy's gone for 46 just before lunch.  Big wicket that.  Bloody Warne again...

434/7.  Can GO Jones (42 off only 49) and the King of Spain stick around a bit longer and propel us towards 500...?

B*llocks, b*llocks, b*llocks, GO Jones gone for 42, bowled by Gillespie of all people. 434/8, only Harmison and S Jones left.

As Goochie said, "a chance missed - should have been a bit more conservative in the run up to lunch." Two key wickets in 7 minutes... you just cannot keep these Aussies down for long.

Can the tail wag? Hope so... but we'll be lucky to make much more than 450 now.

434/8 - Jones & Freddie out in quick succession - bugger.

Hope the tail can wag a bit and get us 450-500.

We should not lose from there. Famous last words.

Hopefully the tail can get us a few runs needed to make 450 odd. If we can get the Aussies out for 350-odd, as they say: it's on...!

Hmmm, 444 all out.

Ominous that Hoggy's first ball didn't swing and bounced twice on way through to keeper.....

Gilchrist dropped twice. Both tough chances apparently, but you can't afford to do that and he'll punish us and Australia will be back in the game.

Awesome stuff from England. Best of all, its Jones and Giles doing the damage, meaning Harmy has only bowled 6 overs and Freddy 11, so both should be fresh for the second innings!

Not sure what the weather forecast is, but providing it isn't rain I wouldn't enforce the following on even if England do sneak out the last 3 wickets for under 45 runs. I'd like to bowl last on this pitch.

I guess its too much to ask for one last wicket before the close of play tonight.

A good day's work from England, 210-7 isn't doing too bad, an early wicket (especially Warne) may see us have to option of making them follow on if they collapse, anyway, we're in a strong position, but if anyone needs reminding what Australia's tail is capable of, remember last Sunday?!?
