In a world of my own.
For whatever reason players you really didnt like please

In no real order except Connolly who I hated.

1) Gordon Connolly
2) Mark Produhoe
3) Graeme Jones
4) Martyn Booty
5) Mark Beard

must admit once they pull on the blue shirt any dislike I may have had for them previously seems to melt away.

Although having said that, I never liked Lee Chapman but he did only last for one away game so perhaps if he'd stayed a bit longer I might even have warmed to him..

A fair number of players who I've gone on to dislike after they left us, but I've never felt that negatively about players whilst they were with us.

David Lee
Stuart Thurgood
Drewe Broughton
Mark Stimson
Danny Webb

How I forgot Danny Webb and Drewe Broughton is beyond me !!!!!!!

What is your problem with Dave Lee Smudger? I personally liked him. He got ten goals from midfield too I seem to recall. Agreed he left in poor circumstances but top five seems a tad harsh?:whistling:

"10 goals from midfield" is a myth, he played at least half the season upfront with Carruthers.

I felt at the time that he was an arrogant show-pony who did very little running but seemed to think he was Pele just because he scored a few free kicks and some tap-ins. Plus he looked like Gareth Keenan from The Office and kept Russell Williamson out of the team.

:stunned: Blimey, I can understand all the nominations on this thread, but not this one!
I only really started watching the Blues at the tail end of the 87-88 seasonm, so maybe I caught the end of his time here, or maybe I'm thinking of somebody else entirely. Could have been Derek Hall? Whoever he was, he used to play left-side of midfield around that time.....

Think thats Derek Hall personally.

Mark "I can't even run properly" Hone
Simon "deadball specialist but still quite crap at it" Livett
Richie "how's your father?" Foran
Tommy "talented but can't be bothered" Black

And the star prize goes to...
Michael "talented but can't be bothered even if the club has bet the farm on me because the world owes me a living and South Bank Hank detests me almost as much as he does Vanessa Feltz" Ricketts

Martin Carruthers is the only one that springs to mind at present. Really really hated the man, a proper Barry big Bollox who always gave it large to the other players.

Neville Southall
Carl Emberson ----- Surely he must be up there for most
Phil Gridlet
Neil Campbell
Stuart Thurgood

Manager - Alvin Martin

Rio Alderton
Michael Ricketts
Richie Foran

They are the only three of the top of my head that ****ed me off to an extent that I hate them.

Alderton was useless, footballers are meant to have attributes but he had none whatsoever. Disgrace that he ever got to wear the Southend United shirt.

Michael Ricketts and Richie Foran have bleed this Club dry, for no return. Foran had numerous occassions to leave our Club after being told he wasn't wanted but he sat around, not even playing reserve matches picking up his wages. He was a disgrace. Ricketts took the ****. I can understand the gamble of bringing him in, if it had worked Ricketts and Eastwood could have fired us to safety in the Championship but he was more interested in stuffing that fat face of his, then actually performing for this Club.
