I cahllenge anyone to come up with a genuinely more emotional moment as a Shrimper than when Goater was subbed today.

When we were given the heartbreaking news that Alvin Martin got the sack.

Still makes me cry just thinking of it.

T'was very emotional and an honour to be part of the end of an era of such a truely great professional, who althouh past his best, gave SUFC everthing he had this year.

Feed the Goat and he will score!
 
In 40 years of watching football I have never seen such an ovation from all sides of the ground, three sets of supporters, every player and even the ref... and probably never will again. The Goat really didnt look as if he wanted to go off and although we all would have liked him to have scored, I think Tilly did the right thing in giving him his few minutes of adulation from his adoring fans...... not a bad send off from an accused racialist club was it.
