A Southend statistic of note!

For any fellow geeks who are interested, I was browsing Wikipedia earlier (as you do), and found out that population wise, Southend is now the 8th largest town in England, and the 30th biggest when counted amongst all other cities, with a population of 160,257.

That is significantly higher than a number of towns like Ipswich and Brighton (and notably Colchester :))...shows you just how large our immediate catchment is! If you can get even 10% attending matches on a regular basis that is a good model to follow and develop!
