President
Well January is here and the players and manager have had enough time to be scrutinised and for what its worth, not much, here are my humble ramblings;

Paul Smith - Still with us, impossible to rate right now, lack of ambition maybe or why no transfer request?

Dan Bentley - A damn good keeper in progress. If his development continues he may well play at the top and so I hope this is his last season for us as I doubt it will be realised with us and would constitute a waste. Better set-ups will enhance his chances and good luck to him. Prem/Championship possibilities.

John White - Goes about his business well and professionally. Good and steady Lg1/2 right back with versatility of position in the back four.

Ben Coker - Great work ethic, good touch and able to cross. Our best option at left back but cant help feeling he would do very well further upfield. Lg1/2 shoe in.

Marc Laird - Able player on his day and good for this level. Lg2 no problem.

Mark Phillips - Strong and capable CB. Best days may have been seen already. Lg 2 no problem.

Luke Prosser - Fast improving, very capable CB, learning all the time. Confidence player that is playing with confidence. Championship/Lg 1 well within his grasp in the future.

Freddy Eastwood - Got class and shows appetite. Legs frustrate his ability but a helpful squad player. Lg2 because of injury issues.

Michael Timlin - Good player, good athlete. Temperament seems improved. Lg2 or a squad filler Lg1.

Craig Reid - Something amiss here. Capable of better possibly but if you don't show it then its the door. Non-league for you buddy or pull up some trees and prove me wrong.

Barry Corr - Does work harder now than when he first signed for us and is a handful at times. Not the scorer his one 'purple' season promised but puts in a shift. Lg2 all day long.

Anthony Straker - Frustrating character. Got pace and on occasions a good touch. Needs to be far more consistent for me. Lg 2 player.

Will Atkinson - Improving, hard working and still not yet the finished article. Lg1 ability.

Kevan Hurst - Doing the business and has some sweet quality. Lg1/2

Conor Clifford - Still young and inexperienced. Decent player that could become a very important addition to our midfield. Needs to think about the tackles but a sound prospect. Lg 1 possibly Championship if continued learning.

Ryan Leonard - Outstanding progression. His size belies his grace. Super prospect. Championship very soon.

Julian Bennett - Who knows?

Seedy Njie - Would like to see him go out on loan, say at the level of Barnet, and see what he can do. No rating.

Jack Payne - Looks to have potential but again would like to see him out on loan. No rating.

Mitch Pinnock - I will review him in a year.

Adam Thompson - I think he has the potential to do well but too few appearances to rate him as yet.

Ryan Auger - Like the look of him and think he could do well if progressing. Rate him in a year.

Luke Chambers - Lets wait and see.

Cauley Woodrow - I like this lad and think he has a lot more to offer. Championship/Lg1.

Phil Brown - Impressed with him so far. Potential for all Leagues. I hope he goes on to get the chance of much higher.

Oh come on. What do you really think?

What about Penney and Coughlan? And the electrician?

 Oh God, my post was a bit short.

Penney - Don't know. Possibly good/bad. Not totally sure what he is doing or what he is supposed to be taking the blame/credit for. Perhaps an unsung hero.

Coughlan - Done well to hold on to his job in the midst of a regime change. Must be impressing the right people. Long may it continue.

Electrician - If he had failed to get the lights on it might have been more entertaining seeing him hanging from the floodlights than watching the Bluebelles.

Bluebelles - Would have been happy for the floodlights to fail whenever they perform. Waste of time and energy.

Ah yes, The Bluebelles. There was a time when I would have been happy to assist them with their coaching but now I would much rather have a hot chocolate and read (someone else's) programme. :'(

So you are still happy to watch men perform on the pitch but not so stirred by the females. What has happened to you?
