Anyone out there got the Engineers album? If so, any good? Forgiveness is a lovely song but im not going to buy it just because of 1 song as it could end being pants ...

QOTSA - lullabies to paralyze is out on the 21st of the month.

QOTSA album us quality. Not quite as good as "Songs For..." but it is more rock based than some of the 'quirky' songs from that album.

'Burn The Witch' is my fave song and has had many plays already!

Little Sister is a wicked song. That's the only one i've managed to get my hands on so far. If most of the songs on that album is like that, i'm looking forward to getting my hands on a copy. I've also taken a liking to the lead singer, which is shocking, cos he's ginger

Alexis, with that link, the song aint too bad, but i'm not really keen on the video!

I love the video, fantastic.

But the best song I have heard this week is Snowden by Doves off of the Some Cities album, quality.

OK, not him then. Must be one of the other guys in the band.

I really like QOTSA, Songs For The Death is brilliant as is Rated R. Looking forward to the new one.

Might have to get that on Monday along with QOTSA then. Anyone else heard Razorlights' new single? Whats up with the rather fake crowd noises in the background?!

Couple of songs i've picked up on that are simply superb:

Open Hand - Tough Girl

Rufus Wainwright (sounds very similar to Badly Drawn Boy ... but better) Cant remember name of single.

Beck - Black Tamberine. Fairly simple but has a great beat to it and love it

Hi-Fi - Cash Machine was superb but heard another one today which was just as good.

Want Two is a very good album, almost Jeff Buckley-esque (high praise indeed as I'm sure anyone who's got a copy of Grace will agree).

I like E-Pro by Beck, haven't heard Black Tamberine yet.

And also Talk by Coldplay, which will probably be the first release off their third album, is simply stunning.

Is he the (very) old fella who plays piano whilst singing!? Seen that on MTV2 over the past couple of days a fair bit and there's definetely a comparison there between the 2 ...

I think you may be talking about the legendary Johnny Cash. MTV2 were showing his 'Hurt' video when I switched it on this evening (a Nine Inch Nails cover and the very last thing he did before he died).

Jeff Buckley was a genius singer/songwriter sadly no longer with us after dying very young, and who's Grace album is pure sublime brilliance and I cannot recommend it enough. If you can't get hold of a copy then get a blank CD to me at the next home game and I'm sure I can sort a copy out for you - it really is a must have for any discerning music fan such as yourself Kev!

The One You Love is the title from R.Wainwright, Andy.

British Sea Power, LCD Soundsystem, Daft Punk, Deaprture, Nine Black Alps, The Glitterati ... the list is endless!
