Surely someone's seen him leaving the ground or has a pet who's brother's owner's mouse's cheese maker's knows he has been looking for houses in the area?

Or are we still waiting and seeing?

I would assume we're waiting and seeing at the moment. It's all gone quiet over there....

Normally I'd pile in with some news but my mouse's brother's owner informs me that you just can't trust his mouse's cheese maker.

(I had to think about that far too much!!)

Dont jump to conclusions and dont slate me if im wrong! My dads friend who is working on our house at the moment went down to boots and laces this morning and said that he saw JCR training down there. Make of it what you will...................................................

The Rotherham Manager confirmed it in an interview at the back end of last week. They're not from the "I heard from a mate of a mate who knows someone" type rumour batch.

Still, a bit strange that nothing has been said today. It'd be great to have a new signing to welcome on Saturday.

Hmmm. We must be sorting out some of the finer details if that's true. We'll just have to wait and wonder for now.

Those farmyard birds are still to be counted....

I think it might take a couple of weeks, but I'm sure we'll end up seeing Campbell-Ryce in a Southend shirt.

Isn't it something to do with the '93-day maximum' loan rule? There are currently more than 93 days until January, therefore there's no point in taking Campbell-Ryce yet as he'll have to return to Rotherham early.

By my estimations (bearing in mind it's mega-late and I've had a few beers tonight), the earliest date he could arrive at Roots Hall - in order to coincide with the rule above, taking him through to January 1st - is September 29th.

If we are allowed then it makes sense to get him now anyway. He isnt going to play at Rotherham and why risk getting him injured? Rather sign him now, and even if it means he has to sit out 2 weeks coming up to Jan, then at least we know we have him...

I'd rather let him do his porridge now. With the team playing well and at full strength, we do play alot of games in those 2 weeks at christmas time. Some say the most important games of the season are played then?

Apologies

Just a small point but we would only need to loan him til the 28th or whenever our last game before New year is. I'm afraid that now I'm working, i can't be bothered to work out what date we need to get him in by though!

I would imagine that if he is joining us on loan it will be completed the day before one of our next few matches.
