any trouble

A few of the idiots tried to get into the West stand after the equiliser but the stewerds delt with it well.

Don't know if there was any trouble outside the ground before or after the game.

Didnt see any in the ground. However, just for a change I had seats in the West, block W. On arrival we found they were all taken, presumably by the Blue voice. One of the orange coats said they would do a ticket sweep and get everyone in the right seats but as there were only 2 minutes till kick off it wasnt really feasible so the asked us to sit in Block X.

Are the Blue Voice assigned a particular area? Shouldnt the bloke in the ticket office have told me this when I bought the tickets?

It was quite amusing to watch a number of our "fans" in block W spend most of the game gesturing at the Col U support, and watch hardly any of the match at all. The "come on then lets have it" gesture by many was really quite pathetic as they were about 100 yards from the people they were gesturing at.
Most of these were teenagers and it would really have been quite amusing to see what their reaction would have been had the steward let the Col U fans loose.

i sat in block W ,the banter between fans was comical as they were separted by distance and stewards,at the final whistle it looked as though trouble could get out of hand but was quelled by the stewards and possibly common sense from both sets of fans.

always thought,
pre match entertainment why not allow both sets of hard fans onto the pitch for mass fisticuffs then we would see which fans had bottle.

was also sitting in bloke W, and have to say it was a great atmosphere there, i presume it was tbv at the top all standing and chanting all game and if it was superb work. As i was sitting down the bottem of the block i joined in alot but was mainly unaccompanied.

Still it was a great game and a great atmosphere all round.

One thing that is really noticeable from changing seats, is the Drum was banging most of the time, and the Blue Voice were singing. Presumably this is the same every week, but if you sit in the South Upper you often cant even hear the drum let alone singing form the west.

They was giving it all game and was told time and time again to stop the gestures, although we wasn't bothered as the majority of Southend fans seemed up for it too.

When Colchester got the second goal I thought the stewards did will to stop them although they bundled bigtime, I said to my mate that if they get a 3rd then it will be rather interesting and that it was, players jumping in the crowd fans on the pitch etc etc

I found it so strange that the stewards stopped the segregation between the two fans at the end and when Southend scored with the last chance the rush towards the away end to get into the north bank was mental and to then see the colchester fans try and run at the west would have been nasty. Obviously they were out numbered but the stewards did well there although in my opinion caused the problem themselves with opening the segregation.

Still was pretty mad and interesting to see a sea of fans running towards the north bank and then the opposite too.

Not sure what happened outside but today could have got very very out of hand and I think the stewards did well in the end although was their fault in the first place.

Yeah, the drum and the singing goes on every week down in V/W/X of the West.

Great game today.

Just spoke with my brother who told me they turned back a coach of drunken col u youth

Hmmmmm.......I think Miss Marple has looked more terrifying to be honest.

Sounds all very dramatic but alas over hyped I think.

Only whats been menotined above.

No violence outside from where I walked.

The stewards did well though to stop any potenial trouble.

Went quite well today.

Yes I saw that we were laughing at them, what a waste of money, if you dont like football dont go, if they want a fight just stand around outside after the game

There was supposed to be a meet by the church but seeing as it was totally peeing it down no one turned up.
That thing at the end when we scored and the movement of our fans fro mthe west and theres from the north was hilarous.
