Folks,

A Charlton fan has started the following e-petition on the Downing Street website. It is surely the duty of every Southend fan to sign this e-petition as well.

Get signing, folks - if there's any man I would feel privileged to call Sir, it would be Sir Chris Powell.

clicky

Matt

Instead you've got a chap from Milton Keynes who's going that extra mile as he's not gay IN THE SLIGHTEST.

I don't know about that!

Chris Powell is an absolute legend and would deserve any honour or recognition that comes his way.

However with my views about the honours system it would be hypocritical of me to sign a petition in favour of someone getting a knighthood.

Come the revolution however when a democratically elected president of the Republic Of England is handing out gongs, then I'd be happy to see Chrissy getting the recognition he deserves.

Pah, principles - schminciples. The revolution won't happen in our lifetimes, so let's get Sir Chrissy a knighthood!
