When flicking between channels I arrived at Arsenal Ladies v Man City Ladies in the WSL. No big deal but the Boreham Wood ground is absolutely bulging at the seams with supporters of all ages and gender. Its no wonder Boreham Wood can still exist on1k + crowds when ever other week the ground is jam packed with Arsenal supporters.

Interestingly, to me anyway, the Arsenal defenders are obviously role models for the Wood men defenders as they are kicking **** out of the Man City forwards. As with most WSL football matches, they are saying sorry after the fouls, even though they are deliberate most of the time.

Yeah been watching the game, can’t believe Man City haven’t won this game already, had the chances, a fair few bookings in this game as well as a penalty miss.

Guess Arsenal will be looking for a bigger stadium for the ladies soon then? Or is there scope for them to pay to increase capacity at BW ground?

Their current contract runs until the end of the 2026/27 season, so they'd probably stay there for a few seasons yet.

After that though they definitely need a bigger ground, when they host matches at the Emirates they get ten of thousands coming so the potential is definitely there. Probably makes sense for them to look closer to North London as well.

The Arsenal men could chip in a weeks wages each and build the girls their own stadium. Allow seasos in for free and play academy games etc injury a real stadium scenario etc.
