Away allocation

West Country Shrimper

Guest
What stands are we allocated for the game? I know we've got the terracing and the Hillhouse stand, which is seating. I've just had a look on the Brizzle Rovers site, and there dont seem to be a Hillhouse Stand. Anyone know which one this is? And is it covered?

You've got to laugh haven't you! Sadly, I can't help. If I go, it'll be my first trip to the Memorial Ground (or Stadium, I can never even remember the name!)

(edited to actually make sense now)

The hillhouse stand (also known as the centenary stand) is the seating area next to the away terracing and yes it is covered.

It's called the "Hill House Hammond Stand", Hils. It's a bit like our stands changing name every couple of seasons; the Hi-Tec Stand, the Universal Cycles Stand, the GK Communications Stand, the Westcliff Casino Stand, the c2c Stand, etc, etc, etc ...

Can I suggest using this reference site as it is rather good :

Excellent view from the Hill House Hammon Stand - you'll be undercover in a high up position near the half way line. The away terracing is in fromt of this stand but slightly more towards the corner flag, but still an excellennt view, although uncovered.

The South Stand seats are behind the goal in a rickety temporary stand - poor view, avoid like the plague.

I'll be on the terrace hoping it doesn't rain

Most of the people I know are going to be in the South Stand seats.  Don't know if this is backed with actual ticket sales though.  It might be because we're all tight and the tickets for that stand are £15.50 instead of a quite exorbitant £18.50 for the Hill House Hammond Stand.

I don't know what the score is with the 140 tickets we've apparently been allocated in the stand as it must hold 700 or so; presumably we'll be segregated into the section nearest the terrace.  In any case we'll probably have it fairly well stocked with Shrimpers and should generate some noise in there.  Its always difficult to get much of an atmosphere on that open terrace.

We have just the end section of the South Stand - about 10 rows of 14 seats each. As I said, very poor view compared with the terrace which is only £13.

If I were going for a seat, it would be the Hill House Hammond Stand everytime - an extra £3 will spent (although all the prices are a bit steap).

Id rather go for terrace, but for this game i'd thought i'd got for seating!
