Back-up Software for Windows laptop

I've been meaning to to do a comlete back-up of everything on my laptop for ages. I'm not keen to do a cloud job so it would go to my external hard drive.

Any one got a suggestions for back-up software so it could all be done automatically?

You could also use the built-in backup features of Windows as well, just open the start menu and type backup and you'll have the option of setting up File History or do a complete backup of your system.

If you have Norton antivirus+Windows 10 this can be set to do regular backups automatically.

I ended up using Acronis True image a while back but thanks for the heads up on Norton Barna

IT certainly takes up a lot of space on your hard disc.

It doesn't truly uninstall when your uninstall it either. Horrendous software.

That's because they can't believe you actually want to stop paying for their antivirus.We've switched to Avast on the laptop and will be quite happy to do the same on the pc when the Norton subscription runs out.

Yeah I use Avast Free. Seems pretty good.

Likewise use Acronis True Image. Backing up is all well and good, but you need to feel secure in re-installing that backup after a failure. Acronis has worked for me in this way in the past, and you can set different types of backups to suit your use and the backed up file is totally accessible if you just want to search for a single file you may have deleted by mistake.
