Battrick

This is looking bad now. 164-3 off 30 overs, i can see them racking up 300 here

Definately time for some new bowlers me thinks

Since my $%&* bowlers have been in (11 overs) we have given them 73 runs.

We were 67-5 and are now 140-5.

195-4 and the run-rate has dropped slightly. Plus Akram and Tomlinson are back on together soon As Sheppard, my mediorce expensive wicket-taking bowler is in his last over.

As long as my batters get a few runs under their belts i wont be too fussed. My squad seems weaker than most so as long as we make steady progress im happy.

We seem to have some modicum of economy, take out the guy who conceded 40 in 5 and the others are restricting them to 4 per over. We've even taken two wickets!

160-2 off 35, alas my worthless bowler will no doubt reappear soon

End of Over 40: 254-2, runrate=6,35
Stanton 10-0-82-0
Robinson* 103 (108 balls)
Haughty 107 (93 balls)

Just hope my bowlers live upto my 3rd and 4th men

Woo-hoo and ouch!

42.3 W Faulds to Weston
smacked the ball straight into the groin of Pearce who fell over, miraculously with the ball still caught in his scrotal area! Out!

They are 270 with a few overs left.

Just checked there recent matches.

They chased 289 successfully in their first game.

They set 286 in the next game and they other team fell 20 short.

Then they needed 311 and fell just 6 short.

In summary, very good batters and not-so-good bowlers.

Probably will bowl me out for 100 now.

Another couple of quick wickets and they are now on 277/9 with an over to go. Bowler No2 finishing with 6-70 off 10, so can get wickets (took 5 in his 2nd spell) but expensive.

I made 297-4.

That was despite two dodgy lbw decisions (one going down leg, the other big inside edge).

Falconbridge appears to be my main batsman. He got his ton having been out for 99 last league game! My 17yo mediocre batsman followed up his ton last game with a 50, but my supposed star "proficient" batsman, Falk, is averaging 3.5 for the season

On a dry pitch, I'll be expecting big things from my star bowler, my spinner, who is due on as first change.

307 for 7 in the end.

Tomlinson took 4-60 from his 10 overs.

Will be interesting but need a good start.

One thing i noticed looking through commentary is i might need to look at changing my captain.

Im 86-1 from 13 overs.

My opener, Ottley, once again stupidly gave his wicket away by being too agressive. Going to have to calm him down for the game on Sunday. He'd already hit sixes and fours but was caught well on the boundary.
