Benefits of the EU?

In English inert is to be in a state of doing little or nothing, as they are labelled as travellers they appear to be doing little of that hence according them as inert is quite correct.
Well said Harry, just cos the Sheridans happen to have been busy doesn't mean the rest of them get away with it!

Are well you see in the context of travelling yes , but having mearly been labelled as such (an example being the travelling wiberies , none of whom were either Wiberies or constantly travelling ) it may be seen as a poorly affixed pseudonym . As a group the "travellers" have been anything but inert.

Also what criteria are we using to define travelling to receive the label ? Are all commuters travellers ?

:zzzzz: Get a life Osy....... Why does EVERY reply you make have to be broken down in to some kind of long winded philosophical/psycho babble debate? Is it some kind of 'I'm more intelligent than thou' self appreciation disorder?

He's right you know.:winking:

Also for the £2bn prediction to come true, we'd have to have an influx of about 1.5m immigrants. Now of those 1.5m benefit tourists that are supposedly going to come over, how many do you think would be stupid enough to come here and claim £65 a week rather than go to Ireland and claim 188 Euros a week?

Exactly the point I was going to make. People over here think I'm joking when I tell them how low Job Seeker's Allowance in the UK is.

Where does Britain stand in the benefits league table? I'd have thought that people would generally be better off where they are than moving to the UK to claim.

Ah my intellectual prowess has been recognised at last (though I would prefer to be Dr Henry Deacon ) or just the Doctor :D

Wow - who would have thought that this subject could have made for such an interesting thread that it must have been before the deletions?! :stunned:
