Remember getting this one year.

Ladies and Gentlemen....

The Raleigh Activator. The first 21 speed mountain bike with front suspension forks. Cost a bomb as well back in the early 90's. Around £300 I think, which was a fortune for a bike in those days.

Harry asked me to put this up as his choice. He is actually pictured sitting on it in this photo.

I was five years old when I got this and I honestly don't think Father Christmas has done better for me since

Bits and pieces of it are still at my Mum's; reckon I may spend Christmas morning 2009 as I did Christmas morning 1984; building this bad boy.

I remember a lego space ship I had once, that was awesome

I thin it was this one -

I got this one circa 1987

My parents thought I was in a huff as I just went straight up to my room upon unwrapping it and spent the next two hours building it.

I preferred Lego before it started Star Wars, batman etc. spinoffs.

I remember Lego when it just used to come in boxes of bricks with no instructions and you just used your imagination! :D

Strange as it may seem, mine was an electric train set. I have many fond memories of it, but unfortunately it was a victim of the floods in Eastwood in 1967.

Scalextric figure of Eight set 1970's.
Looked the business in the commercial, as the track looked bigger and the cars stayed on the track.

In reality the cars kept flying off on all bends unless you went slow and it stunk like hell as the hand contollers and cars overheated and the transformer used to get red hot as well.

Still loved it tho as it was a ground breaking toy at the time and nothing better around and every young lad seemed to want one.
