This is the scenario: While discussing Dan Bentley's future and Paul Smith's role, the fellow Shrimper I was with recalled the Brentford cup replay and we both agreed it was a performance of individual brilliance that we could remember only as a master class in shot stopping.
Any other ONE player, ONE game master class performances that rank alongside or better that display?
Maybe Freddie's hat trick debut?

Very difficult question to answer - I do remember Stan's first home game against Notts County.

And another fabulous game where a number of players did so well was the 3-2 defeat of Spurs in the League Cup. But that was more of a team display, I think.

Maher against QPR 5-0 was decent. Even with his flash white boots!

We've had this discussion on here many times before, and I always say Freddy Eastwood away at Chesterfield in 2006, where he scored a hat-trick in a 4-3 win.

Keeper wise the following stick in my mind:

Royce v Bradford (H) in Championship (equivalent) relegation battle
Flavs v Man United, simply awesome
Mildenhall v Chelsea, solid performance and that Worldy Save
Paul Smith v Brentford in FA Cup replay loss

Outfield players, Freddy produced some great performances, Maher, Gower too. Leonard was swashbuckling against Millwall in the Cup last season.

Very true, that was 8 seasons ago; Kev's great games are also years old; maybe I should have headed the thread with "current" Blues player to narrow & update the pick/question.

King Billy Best 5 goals v Brentwood 1968 ,Bill Garner v Chelsea when Bill won every thing in the air against David Webb and co ,and Peter Silvesters 4 goals against Brighton v Brighton 1976 .

I would go for the Billy Best performance...but legend that he is - it was against Brentwood.
So, perhaps Richard Cadette against The Little O's.

I always felt that mildy did not get the credit he deserves for that game , and in particular'that save'
