GK George McEnzie (Yonks ago = our most capped player - Rep of Ireland)
LB Sandy Anderson (I'm too young to remember him too, but he played 483 games for us and was born in Auchtermuchty, Fife!)
RB Danny O'Shea (must be some Irish blood in him!)
CB Mike Lapper (USA)
CB Pat Scully (Rep of Ireland)
LW Kevin O'Callaghan (Rep. of Ireland - For his acting performance in "Escape to Victory"!)
RW John Neilsen (Denmark)
CM Regis Coulbault (France)
CM Ronnie Whelan (Republic of Ireland)
CF Derek Spence (N Ireland)
CF Billy Best (Scotland)

Best non-UK (incl Ireland as most Irish players are English players not good enough to play for England):

GK - Hendriksen (Norwegian?)
RB - Poric (Australian)
LB - ?
CB - Lapper (US)
CB - Coyne (Australian)
CM - Unger (German)
CM - Nielsen (Danish)
RM - Coulbault (French)
LM - Crossan (Canadian - I think but well before my time)
CF - Boere (Dutch)
CF - Firmani (South African - I think, but again before my time)

Any contenders for leftback?

It would be far easier to name a worse XI, although competition for strikers would be intense: take your pick from N'Diaye, Iorfa, Dursan, Belsvik, N'Zamba etc

I think you will find that Mike Lapper could play CB or LB.
