Breaking News Big Screen at RH for Gateshead fixture

Hmm I’ve committed to the flight at the moment but may miss out all together if that doesn’t happen and these tickets are sold ☹️

Pay the tenner just in case for the roots Hall stream and if the flight goes ahead sell it on. Someone will have it.

X2 purchased for the roots Hall screen yesterday.

Great support - for Southend United (Image: Lucy Copsey)

By Chris Phillips. Chief sports reporter.

SOUTHEND United are to screen their crunch clash against Gateshead back at Roots Hall.

More than 1,300 Shrimpers fans have already snapped up tickets for Monday’s match which will determine who makes the National League play-offs.

But those who cannot make the journey will now be able to watch the match on a five metre by three metre screen which is being installed in front of Blocks D and E of the East Stand, along with a PA system to provide live commentary.

The Far Post Bar and the nearby food kiosk will be open from 12pm on the day, with happy hour pricing in place until 2pm and live music before kick off

Tickets for the screening are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for children aged 16 or under.

The ticket office will be closed from 4pm on Friday but tickets will still be available to buy online, subject to availability.
